Cedar Rapids Prairie, a relatively new wrestling program established in 2022 when Iowa sanctioned Girls Wrestling, is led by Head Coach Zach Becicka. Despite being new, the program has quickly grown and now supports a large number of athletes across various age groups.
Coach Becicka did not experience challenges before using MatBoss as the programs he has been a part of have always used it. However, he notes that without film, the team would not be as good as they are now.
Coach Becicka was introduced to MatBoss while coaching as an assistant at another program. Impressed by its effectiveness, he adopted it for Cedar Rapids Prairie.
The implementation process was straightforward, though training managers to use the system posed some challenges. Coach Becicka suggests attending an online MatBoss training course to help with this.
Since adopting MatBoss, Cedar Rapids Prairie’s wrestling program has seen significant improvements:
- Increased Engagement: The ability to watch film on mobile devices is highly convenient for the athletes.
- Performance Improvement: The team has improved significantly as athletes can see and correct their mistakes.
- Efficient Coaching: Coaches and athletes can study matches more easily, enhancing strategy and preparation.
MatBoss has greatly streamlined coaching and administrative tasks at Cedar Rapids Prairie, making them more efficient and effective. The integration of video and stats has provided valuable insights, helping Coach Becicka and his wrestlers focus on continuous improvement. The convenience of mobile access is particularly appreciated.
While Coach Becicka suggests learning more about performance metrics and enhancing training for managers, he strongly recommends MatBoss to other coaches due to its ease of use.
